MY STORY
Born and raised in Hollywood North, aka Vancouver, I started making sketches with my siblings in the late 1980s. Long before filmmaking became a professional pursuit. What began as experimentation with a camera eventually evolved into a lifelong obsession with storytelling
In my early twenties, I continued pursuing performance and storytelling through formal training at the William Davis Centre for Actors Study, where I studied acting and developed a deeper understanding of character, emotional truth, and on-screen presence — foundations that continue to influence my writing and filmmaking today.
After studying acting in my early twenties, I spent years working behind the scenes on major Hollywood productions, contributing to more than 20 high-budget film sets as a Production Assistant. Working across large-scale productions gave me firsthand insight into the pace, discipline, collaboration, and cinematic craftsmanship required to bring ambitious stories to life.
Selected Studio Productions include:
Working internationally has become an important part of my creative journey. Across independent productions in Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, I’ve taken on a range of production and leadership roles including Location Manager, First AD, and Script Supervisor. Directing my first short film in Hong Kong and my second in Shanghai helped shape a broader cinematic perspective that continues to influence the stories I develop today.
DAROSOZA STUDIOS was built as a creative outlet for the kinds of stories I’ve always been drawn to — stories rooted in atmosphere, human complexity, and emotional tension. Whether through screenplays or independent films, my focus remains on creating grounded cinematic experiences across multiple genres.
Moving forward, I hope to continue developing projects that connect with audiences in meaningful ways while expanding creative partnerships across film and streaming platforms internationally.
